Maureen Lesak, President

Maureen Lesak is a Managing Director in the Industrials Group of Bank of America Investment Banking and covers industrials clients in the US and internationally. Maureen joined Merrill Lynch Investment Banking in 1997, prior to the acquisition of Merrill Lynch by Bank of America, and has spent nearly 26 years at the firm working with a wide range of clients across the industrial and consumer/retail sectors. Maureen has led recent investment banking transactions for corporate clients including Allegheny Technologies, American Tire Distributors, AMG, ArcelorMittal, Beacon Roofing, Berkshire Hathaway, Big River Steel, CDW, Cleveland-Cliffs, Commercial Metals, MP Materials, Novelis, Nucor, Reliance Steel, Ryerson, Steel Dynamics, United States Steel, Univar Solutions and W.W. Grainger. Maureen has held additional senior roles at the firm including Global COO of the Industrials and Natural Resources Groups within Investment Banking. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Maureen was a CPA with Arthur Andersen LLP. She also holds Series 7, 63 and 24 FINRA licenses. Maureen received a B.S.B.A. in accounting from The American University in Washington, D.C. Maureen is resides in Chicago with her husband Karl and their four children. Maureen serves on the boards of two other Chicago-based nonprofits, Open Heart Magic and Culinary Care. Maureen was recognized in the Crain’s Chicago Business 40 under 40 in 2012.

Holly Amatangelo

Holly Amatangelo is a Director at SmithBucklin. In this role, she provides strategic oversight and thought leadership on education and learning services initiatives for clients, including the Legal Marketing Association (LMA) where she serves as their Education Director. Prior to joining SmithBucklin, Holly worked as the Director of Training and Development for Kaplan Higher Education and the National Director of Academics for SCORE! Educational Centers. Holly has spent her career specializing in the areas of educational management, strategy, development, operations, leadership, instructional design, and training.  She is also a graduate of the Second City Conservatory and a member of the Screen Actor's Guild (SAG). Holly helped to start Chicago Run's Next Generation Board serving as the founding President for 3 1/2 years. Holly is a member of the American Society of Training and Development, a Community Board member for the Emerald City Theater Company, and is a Field Advocate for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. She has completed five Chicago Marathons since 2007 and numerous half marathons all over the US. Holly earned her B.A. at Washington University in St. Louis, MO and has a MS in Higher Education with a focus on adult teaching and learning.  She is a huge Chicago sports fan, a doting Aunt to her niece Molly and nephew Nicholas, and has been an active volunteer with Chicago Run since 2009. Holly and her husband Bill reside in Chicago.

Joe Catalano

Joe is currently the First Vice President at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management. Based in Chicago, he is a partner within the Attard Strnad Catalano Group, a team of professionals who are working to meet the multifaceted needs of a select group of clients of significant means from individuals and families to business owners and executives. Joe has a 20-year professional history working in asset management and finance, including roles as an analyst at Ford Motor Company and a Manager at Deloitte. Joe has since worked at Citigroup Smith Barney and UBS Financial Services. He holds a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®) designation and is a member of the Investments & Wealth Institute TM. Joe earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago. He is actively involved in the University of Chicago Alumni Association, formerly the treasurer of the Chi Upsilon graduate board, and is active with Bank of America Volunteer initiatives. Joe is an avid runner and recently completed his second Bank of America Chicago Marathon. He lives in Park Ridge with his wife and two young children.

Alicia Coronas

Alicia is a Divisional Vice President at Health Care Service Corporation, where she leads product strategy for five Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans. In this role she is committed to delivering solutions that provide members support and tools to manage their health, and make informed health care decisions for themselves and their families. She has had a career focus on improving experiences within the health care system, with previous roles in product development at the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, and in the Strategy Consulting practice at Accenture. Alicia earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Notre Dame, and holds a Master of Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. She lives in Bucktown and in addition to cheering for the college sports teams you love to hate, she enjoys traveling to new cities and dabbling in piano and guitar lessons.

Greg Hipp

Greg Hipp, the Sr. Director of Operations & Workforce Management at Chicago Event Management (CEM), joins Chicago Run as a new board member. With over 20 years of experience in the running industry and coaching, Hipp brings valuable expertise to the organization. Previously, he served as the Executive Director of the Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA), where he led the nation's third-largest running club. Before his tenure at CARA, Hipp had a successful 14-year career as an NCAA cross country and track and field coach. Hipp has held leadership positions within USATF and USTFCCCA and currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the USATF Men's Long Distance Running Committee. He is a USATF Level II certified coach in endurance, sprints, hurdles, and relays. Originally from Charlotte, N.C., Greg Hipp holds a B.A. in communications-journalism from Appalachian State and a master's degree in Education from Missouri State University.

Kathleen Katrenak

Kathleen Katrenak is a finance executive who currently serves as the Global Chief Financial Officer for The Pharm, a WPP agency dedicated to delivering marketing and communication services to Walgreens Boots Alliance. Prior to her current role, she was a Client Finance Director at Ogilvy, where she led WPP’s commercial relationship with SC Johnson. Previously, Kathleen held several senior finance positions at the education company, Kaplan. She started her career at the advertising agency Leo Burnett in Chicago, and left as a Finance Director after working overseas in London and Prague. Kathleen graduated from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, with a B.S. degree in Accountancy. She previously volunteered as a tutor/mentor for Off The Street Club, Open Books, and Literacy Chicago, and served on the Associate Board at Literacy Chicago. Kathleen enjoys sports, live music, and camping, and runs the occasional 5K. She lives with her 2 rescue dogs in the western suburbs of Chicago.

Dennis McClelland  

Dennis McClelland is the Chief Credit Officer and Beverly Bank and Trust, a Wintrust Bank, and has been with the company since 2010. Dennis manages the overall risk profile of the Bank’s loan portfolio, and is also responsible for the analytical content and qualitative analysis of all underwriting, working with all internal and external regulators, continuous monitoring of the credit portfolio, and attending Beverly’s Board of Directors meetings to provide updates on all loan portfolio matters.  Dennis obtained a BA in Business Administration from St. Xavier University, and holds an MBA and a Masters of Science in Finance from DePaul University’s Kellstadt School of Business.

Mark McKinley

Mark is a Managing Director, Wealth Advisor, at William Blair. He is responsible for the investment, relationship management and client communication on a variety of taxable and tax-exempt client relationships. Before joining William Blair, Mark was a portfolio manager at Atlantic Trust for more than 14 years. Previously, he worked at Northern Trust for more than eight years, spending most of that time as a portfolio manager. Mark has lived in Chicago his whole life. He loves to stay active and so do his three daughters, who have all run on their school track or cross country teams. He is passionate about Chicago Run's mission and the benefits of running.

Ervin Nevitt

Ervin Nevitt graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2014. While a law student, he worked as a paralegal for a personal injury and criminal defense firm. He started at Coplan+ Crane in 2012 and became a partner in December of 2019. He serves as a Board of Governors Representative on the American Association for Justice. He lives in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago and when he's not working, Ervin enjoys playing golf and traveling.

Maya Solis

Maya has more than 25 years of experience in community relations and outreach. After graduating college, Maya managed and worked on municipal and national elections, respectively, starting her decades-long focus on, and passion for, issues important to various communities. She later continued her community outreach work at various positions for the City of Chicago and State of Illinois. Currently, Maya is the South Region Director for the Chicago Park District, overseeing more than 100 parks and hundreds of employees, striving to provide an enriched quality of life to the city’s South Side communities. She works with her team community stakeholders such as its patrons, community leaders, Park Advisory Councils, and elected officials, to provide quality and equitable programs for all families, youth, teens and elderly residents. Since 2017, Maya has served as the Citywide Chair for the Park District's Teen Committee. She is a Local School Council member at her daughter's elementary school in the West Town neighborhood and a 2019 Leadership Greater Chicago Fellow. She is also a triathlete having completed her fourth Half Ironman in June 2021

Joon Sung

Joon Sung is a risk management and insurance professional having spent his career at JP Morgan Chase, TransUnion and Aon, where he currently serves as an account executive advising large organizations with their corporate insurance programs. After immigrating from Korea at the age of 6, Joon grew up in various towns in southern Wisconsin. Upon graduating from UW Madison with a bachelor’s degree in risk management and finance, Joon moved to Chicago where he serendipitously met his future wife. He is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys hiking with his family, playing tennis and pickleball. Joon has run a total of 7 marathons and is proud to have run the last 4 for Chicago Run.

Meg Young

Meg is a Vice President in Private Wealth Management (PWM) at Goldman Sachs, where she co-leads a team that advises privately held business owners, high net worth individuals, family offices and foundations. She is a member of PWM’s Client Engagement Board and the Summer Associate Development Council. Prior to joining the firm, she worked in Institutional Fixed Income Sales and Trading for Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York. Meg is a proud Northwestern Wildcat as she serves on the Northwestern Women’s Cross Country Alumni Council and the Northwestern University Leadership Circle Regional Board. Meg earned a BS in Industrial Engineering and Economics from Northwestern University and an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. She lives in Chicago and enjoys her Peloton treadmill training for the occasional half marathon.

Co-Founders

Bryan Traubert

Bryan Traubert practiced ophthalmology in Chicago for over 30 years. He received his BS from The Citadel and his MD degree from the University of Illinois. He spent 2016 as a Fellow at The Distinguished Careers Institute at Stanford. He is Chairman of The Pritzker Traubert Foundation (PTF), which is dedicated to equalizing opportunity in Chicago. He is also a former board member of the Harvard School of Public Health, Partnership for a Healthier America, Wendy Will Case Cancer Fund, Children's Memorial Hospital and Chicago Lighthouse for the Blind. Dr. Traubert serves on the Board of WBEZ/Chicago Pubic Media (Vice Chairman) and Noble Street Charter Schools.  He is the past chairman of Marwen and former board member of National Public Radio, Citadel Foundation, Facing History and Ourselves and The Renaissance Society.  Dr. Traubert was appointed in 2010, and served through 2015, as President of the Chicago Park District Board.  He founded Take the Field, a public private partnership which built 12 state of the art artificial turf fields in underserved communities in Chicago, and he founded and serves on the board of the Chicago Parks Foundation. Dr. Traubert is currently serving on the board for the National Park Foundation (Vice Chairman) and as a Trustee of The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.  From 2009 – 2013, he served on the White House Fellows Commission. Dr. Traubert enjoys running, cycling, tennis, skiing, gardening, theater, contemporary art and architecture. A longtime resident of Chicago, he is married to Penny Pritzker, who served as U.S. Secretary of Commerce from 2013 to January of 2017. They live in Chicago and have two adult children.

Penny Pritzker

Penny Pritzker is the co-founder of Chicago Run. An American business executive, entrepreneur, civic leader, and philanthropist who served as the 38th United States Secretary of Commerce.  She is the founder of PSP Capital Partners and Pritzker Realty Group. She is also co-founder of Artemis Real Estate Partners. Penny previously served on the President's Economic Recovery Advisory Board. She has also served on the boards of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, Marmon Group and LaSalle Bank Corporation. Much of Penny's civic work focuses on public education. She served as advisory board chairman of Skills for America's Future, The Aspen Institute, past chair of the Chicago Public Education Fund, and a former member of the Chicago Board of Education. Her interests include running, cycling, travel, contemporary art, and current affairs.
